Texture
Description
Texture Scan You can only select it when you finish the white balance. The scanning speed is 10 frames per second.
Non-texture Scan You can't select Texture alignment in this mode. The scanning speed is 20 frames per second.

Note

  • Select Texture alignment when you select Texture Scan.
  • Once a project has been created in the project group, the texture scan mode cannot be changed for newly created projects.

Alignment mode

Alignment
Description
Markers Before scanning, it is necessary to attach markers on the object. This mode is suitable for scanning objects with simple structures, repetitive features, or axial symmetry.
Features To align scanned data by using the geometric features on the surface of the object. The object should have rich features on its surface.
Caution
If the scanning area does not have enough common areas with the scanned data, the interface will display a tracking lost prompt.
Hybrid Alignment To switch between Features and Markers, depending on whether the object to scan has markers on it. For the area that is easy to align wrongly in Features alignment, you can attach markers (more than 4) to aid alignment. This alignment is suitable for models that have easily misaligned areas.
Texture To align scanned data of an object that has many colorful patterns on its surface. This alignment is suitable for a flat object or a large curved object.

Resolution

Resolution
Description
High Detail A point distance of 0.7 mm by default
Medium Detail A point distance of 1.0 mm by default
Low Detail A point distance of 1.5 mm by default

Resolution

Resolution
Description
High Detail A point distance of 0.2 mm by default
Medium Detail A point distance of 0.5 mm by default
Low Detail A point distance of 1.0 mm by default

Note

  • The default point distance in Laser Scan ranges from 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm.
  • When Advanced mode is enabled, the range becomes 0.05 mm to 3.0 mm.

Note

  • Different resolutions correspond to different point distances. You can drag the slider to other positions on the scale to select different point distances.
  • The higher the resolution, the more object data will be collected, but the software will take longer to process, requiring relatively higher computer memory.
