Create Feature

In the right-side function bar on the interface of Measurement step, click and a Create Feature window will pop up on the left.

Note

You can switch to Feature List to check the created features; You can also click to delete features.

Feature Point Feature Line Feature Plane

Creation Method	Description	Note
Selected Points	Click the data to select the point. Click the Create button to create a feature point.	/
Please Select a Marker	Click an existing marker to select the point. Click the Create button to create a feature point.	You can select this method to create feature points for model data that only have markers and are not meshed yet.
Line-Plane Intersection	Click an existing feature line or choose a line in the drop-down list. Click an existing feature plane or choose a plane in the drop-down list. Click the Create button to create a feature point.	The feature line can not be in the feature plane. The feature line can not be parallel with the feature plane.

Marker to Marker	Click existing markers to select markers. Click the Create button to create a feature line. Note You can tick the checkbox before From or to and re-select the feature points.	You can select this method to create a feature line for model data that only have markers and are not meshed yet.
Plane-Plane Intersection	Click existing feature planes or choose planes in the drop-down list. Click the Create button to create an intersection of two non-parallel planes.	The feature planes can not be parallel to each other.

3 Points Fit	Click the data to select the point. Click the Create button to create a feature plane. Note You can tick the checkbox before Point1, Point2 or Point3 and re-select the points.	The three points can not be in a line.
Point-Line Fit	Click existing feature lines or choose lines in the drop-down list. Click the data to select the point. Click the Create button to create a feature plane.	The point can not be in the line.
Best Fit	When there are selected data, click the Create button to create a feature plane that has the smallest deviation from the selected area. Note You can use editing tools or shortcuts to select the data.	/
Three Markers	Click existing markers to select markers. Click the Create button and create a feature plane. Note You can tick the checkbox before Marker1, Marker2 or Marker3 and re-select the markers.	You can select this method to create a feature plane for model data that only have markers and are not meshed yet. The three markers can not be in a line.
Marker Point-Line Fit	Click an existing feature line or choose a line in the drop-down list. Click an existing marker to select the marker point. Click the Create button to create a feature plane.	You can select this method to create a feature plane for model data that only have markers and are not meshed yet. The feature point can not be in the feature line.
Marker Best Fit	When there are at least three selected markers, click the Create button to create a plane that has the smallest deviation from the selected area. Note You can use editing tools or shortcuts to select the data.	You can select this method to create a feature plane for model data that only have markers and are not meshed yet.
