GD & T¶
Click Dimension in the top navigation bar to enter the dimension module, where you can measure shape tolerance,
position tolerance and
profile tolerance.
Note
After creating GD & T dimension objects, you can edit the Compensation Value in the right Properties panel, and the measured values and deviation will be updated.
Shape Tolerance¶
Note
Please ensure there exists at lease one measured feature of the specified feature.
- In the GD & T toolbar, click
Shape Tolerance, and select Flatness / Straightness / Circularity / Cylindricity in the drop-down list to open the corresponding window.
- Select the feature to be measured, and set the tolerance (0 ~ 100).
- Click Confirm, the software will automatically calculate the distance and deviation between the two features and display labels in the 3D scene based on the tolerance: Green indicates that the deviation is within the tolerance range, while red indicates that the deviation is outside the tolerance range.
- The dimension object will be displayed in the
dimension module in the left-side tree view.
Position Tolerance¶
Note
Please ensure there exists at lease one measured feature of the specified feature and a datum.
- In the GD & T toolbar, click
Position Tolerance, and select Parallelism / Perpendicularity / Position in the drop-down list to open the corresponding window.
-
For measuring parallelism, you need to select the feature to be measured and the datum, and set the tolerance (0 ~ 100); for measuring position, you also need to select the entity status and the tolerance zone.
Note
If you select the entity status as
or
, you need to set the upper and lower tolerance.
-
Click Confirm, the software will automatically calculate the distance and deviation between the two features and display labels in the 3D scene based on the tolerance: Green indicates that the deviation is within the tolerance range, while red indicates that the deviation is outside the tolerance range.
- The dimension object will be displayed in the
dimension module in the left-side tree view.
Profile Tolerance¶
Note
- Please ensure there exists at lease one measured feature of the specified feature and a datum.
- It supports measuring the surface profile of single plane or multiple planes by using the pattern, but please ensure there exists at least one pattern containing a pair of plane features.
- (Optional) Right-click on a
plane feature group in the left-side tree view, or hold down Ctrl while selecting multiple plane feature groups. Then click Pattern in the context menu to create an pattern containing one or more pairs of plane features.
- In the GD & T toolbar, click
Profile Tolerance, and select Surface Profile in the drop-down list to open the corresponding window.
-
Select the feature to be measured and the symmetry of tolerance, and set the tolerance (0 ~ 100) and the datum.
Note
If you select the symmetry of tolerance as
, you need to set the asymmetric tolerance.
-
Click Confirm, the software will automatically calculate the distance and deviation between the two features and display labels in the 3D scene based on the tolerance: Green indicates that the deviation is within the tolerance range, while red indicates that the deviation is outside the tolerance range.
- The dimension object will be displayed in the
dimension module in the left-side tree view.
