Design of splint / retainer

Creating and editing a splint / retainer are both supported.

Create a design

Caution

If the user opens CreSplint from IntraoralScan, CreSplint will automatically create splint / retainer based on the current order.

  1. Select Splint or Retainer.

  2. Start preset the design. The user can select the margin line type and adjust parameters.

    Caution

    When selecting Splint, only one jaw can be chosen to design the splint (the upper jaw is chosen by default).

    Parameter Picture Description
    Occlusion thickness To adjust the occlusion thickness of Splints.
    Range: 0.6 mm ~ 5.0 mm.
    Buccal and lingual thickness To adjust the buccal and lingual thickness of Retainers.
    Range: 0.6 mm ~ 5.0 mm.
    Anterior teeth thickness To adjust the anterior teeth thickness of Retainers.
    Range: 0.6 mm ~ 5.0 mm.
    Posterior teeth thickness To adjust the posterior teeth thickness of Retainers.
    Range: 0.6 mm ~ 5.0 mm.
    Keep undercut angle To adjust the undercut angle of Splints or Retainers.
    Range: 0° ~ 90 °.
    Gap To adjust the gap between the Splints or the Retainers and the teeth.
    Range: -0.30 mm ~ 0.30 mm.
  3. Click Next Step to enter Model Pre-processing.

    Or click Auto Generation to Post Processing. Model pre-processing, parameter adjustment and shape adjustment will be finished automatically.

Note

If you want to adjust the parameters and shape after Auto Generation, please click the step on the top of the interface.

Adjust a design

  1. In the right panel of the DentalCopilot interface, select Splint or Retainer.
  2. Find the design to be adjusted. Click , then click to adjust the design.
