Calibrate the Scanner

Under these circumstances, we recommend that you perform calibration (including brightness adjustment) on the scanner to ensure the accuracy of scanned data.

  • The initial setup of the scanner is completed.
  • The scanner has been used for a period of time (e.g. 2 weeks).
  • The scanner is accidentally dropped or strongly vibrated.

Caution

  • Before calibration, please connect the calibrator with the cable.
  • Please keep the calibrator in bag to prevent from dust when it is not used.
  • Do not drop or strike the calibrator.
  • Do not splash water into the calibrator.

Follow the steps below to perform the calibration:

  1. Connect the calibrator with the computer. When the calibrator is ready, its indicator turns into green.

  2. Remove the scanner tip from the scanner. More details of removing the tip can be found in Connection.

  3. Insert the scanner firmly into the calibrator.

  4. Place the scanner and the calibrator horizontally on a flat surface. Click on the main interface to enter the calibration interface and click Start to calibrate.

  5. The calibration (including brightness adjustment) will be performed automatically.

    When calibrating successfully, click in the right corner to exit. If the calibration fails, please recalibrate the scanner.

  6. Remove the calibrator from the scanner.

  7. Reattach the scanner tip to the scanner for later use or put the dust cap onto the scanner to prevent damage and dust.

Caution

Please remove the calibrator from the scanner after calibration to avoid overheating of the calibrator.
