Measurement¶
You can go to Measurement from any interface in the software by clicking
in the navigation bar:
- If you have a SHINING3D Inspect license, you will be directed to SHINING3D Inspect. For detailed instructions, see the SHINING3D Inspect User Manual.
Note
- If scanning and mesh optimization are completed, the mesh data will be automatically imported into SHINING3D Inspect. Edits made in SHINING3D Inspect will not affect the original data.
- If no data exists in the FreeScan software, you may either:
a) Import a project group into the FreeScan software first, then open SHINING3D Inspect for measurement.
b) Switch to SHINING3D Inspect directly and import data for measurement.

If you do not have a SHINING3D Inspect license, you can contact Technical Support to activate the license; or use the measurement function of the FreeScan software to perform operations such as Create Features, Align, and Measure.
Note
- On the Measurement interface, you can use multi view.
- On the Measurement interface, you can operate by right mouse button and shortcuts.
Clicking
in the right-side function bar to import models (including third-party 3D models).
Note
- Open files in the type of STL, OBJ, PLY, P3, ASC, TXT and DGM.
- You can drag the model file into the software interface.
