Template-Based Scanning

You can link predefined scan settings with Inspect templates, making it easy to apply them in future scans and improve your workflow efficiency.

Note

This feature requires an Auto Inspect license.

Bind Template

  1. Enter the scanning interface:

    • Tap on the homepage.
    • Tap Use Template on the homepage and select an Inspect Template that doesn't have the icon.
  2. Set scanning parameters and perform the scan.

  3. Perform mesh optimization (optional).

    Note

The scan template saves most of your settings, including: global markers file, scanning mode, point distance, brightness, laser line, model quality indicator, mesh/optimize button selection, and mesh optimization parameters.

    Caution

If markers are scanned but not saved as a global markers file, the file won't be linked to the template.

  4. In the post-processing interface, tap Auto Inspect to perform inspection.

    Note

    • If you entered scanning by tapping , you need to select the corresponding Inspect template.
    • If you entered scanning by tapping Use Template, the system will automatically use the selected Inspect template.
  5. After inspection is completed, tap the Bind Template on the right to link the scan settings with the Inspect template.

Use Template

  1. Tap Use Template on the homepage and select an Inspect Template.

    • Manual Input: Enter the template name manually, useful when you have many templates to choose from.
    • Scan Code: Scan a barcode or QR code that you've created with the template name.

    Note

When you see the icon next to an Inspect template name, it means that the template is linked to specific scan settings.

  2. Upon starting a scan, you can only adjust Brightness, Laser Line, and Model Quality Indicator.

    Note

The scan mode defaults to Mesh. If the linked scan settings includes Partial Resolution or AI Feature Recognition mode, you can pause scanning and switch to those modes using the button in the bottom right corner.

  3. After tapping Mesh, if the linked scan settings include mesh optimization parameters, mesh optimization will be performed automatically.

  4. In the post-processing interface, tap Auto Inspect to perform inspection.

    Note

After inspection is completed, if you've adjusted any scan settings, you can tap Update Template to update the scan settings linked to the Inspect template.

Caution

  • Once you apply the template with scan settings, all new projects in the project group will automatically be assigned the template and cannot be changed.
  • Any updates to the template for a project group will not affect projects that have already been created.

Update Template

You can update templates in two situations:

  1. Changes an Inspect template's scan settings when scanning with that template.
  2. Assign an Inspect template that carries specific scan settings to other project with different scan settings.
