Scanning

Laser scan can quickly and accurately acquire 3D data of the scanned object. Featured in contact-free measurement, high sampling rate of data, active emission of scanning light source, low requirements for use, and strong environmental adaptability, laser scan can be used in complex environments, and acquire complete 3D data of large and complex objects into the computer, thereby reconstructing the corresponding 3D model as well as various geometric data concerning the points, lines, surfaces, and solids.


Scan Mode

Trak Mode

Mode
Description
Scan Global Markers Only markers on the object surface can be scanned in this mode. By collecting markers, you can quickly obtain the global markers data of the object.
Note
  • The scanner does not project laser lines during the scanning process.
  • You can import the global markers file and scan for adding new global markers.
  • After completing the scan, you can save the data or switch to Scan Point Cloud to continue scanning.
  • Scan Point Cloud Directly scan to generate point cloud data. This mode is suitable for most scanning scenarios.
    Note
    When the global markers are not fully scanned, you can enable the Add New Global Markers function in Scan Point Cloud to obtain new global markers data.
    Local Resolution You can both save scanning time and get an ideal scanned data in this way.
    This mode is suitable for:
  • There are missing data in a specific area after scanning an object in Scan Point Cloud.
  • There are missing data in a specific area of the imported project.
  • Photogrammetry Photogrammetry mode is only supported by EinScan Trak Pro.
    This mode can be used to scan large objects or perform multiple scans from different angles.
    Note
  • The scanner does not project laser lines during the scanning process.
  • Place the calibration rod in the scanning scene to ensure scanning accuracy.
  • After completing the scan, you can save the data or switch to Scan Point Cloud to continue scanning.
  • Note

    • Click Open Global Markers File to import a local global markers file (p3, txt, asc, dgm format).
    • In Trak Mode > Scan Markers** mode, 6 mm and 12 mm global markers files can be imported.
    • In Trak Mode > Scan Point Cloud** mode, marker files with only 3 mm markers, or only 6 mm markers, or with 12 mm markers count ≤ 4 cannot be imported.

    Scan Operation

    You can use the button on the device or click the icons in the software interface to switch among the three states. The basic switching order is: Preview > Scan > Pause.

    Description

    Preview
    To preview the scanned data without saving. In preview mode, you can adjust scan parameters based on the scanning effect.
    You can enable or disable Preview by clicking in the upper right corner to open the settings interface. When disabled, this button will not appear on the scanning interface.

    Scan
    Start scanning. The scanned data will be saved to the specified path.
    Caution
  • Please ensure that the device is facing the surface of the object being scanned.
  • Maintain an appropriate working distance as prompted by the software.
  • Adjust the scanning brightness based on the surface brightness and color of the object.

  • Pause
    Pause scanning. You can edit the scanned data.
    1. Select New Project Group.
    2. Select Trak Mode or Scanner Mode based on the actual scenario.
    3. Set scan mode, scan object, and other relevant scan parameters, and adjust the scanning brightness.
    4. Click on the right to start scanning.
    5. During scanning, monitor the image data on the screen in real time, adjust the scanning distance as needed, and move the scanner slowly and steadily until the object is fully scanned. In other words, once the Data Quality Indicator is enabled, the data will appear blue.
    6. Click to pause scanning.
    7. Rotate, zoom, and perform other operations to check data completeness; click to save the scanned data.
